Once the IRS accepts your return, it can take up to 21 days for your refund to arrive. You can use the IRS Where's My Refund Tool to check on the status of your refund. You will need the following information to check the status:
* Your Social Security or Taxpayer ID number
* Your filing status
* The exact refund
The IRS states that you can expect to receive your federal refund within 21 days of IRS acceptance.
If it has been more than 21 days since your federal return was accepted, your refund may be delayed if you claimed EIC or AOC.
